Laboratory of Molecular Pathology

The Laboratory of Molecular Pathology (LMP) comprises a diverse group of faculty who share a common goal of probing fundamental mechanisms of disease through basic and applied investigations. Dominant themes of research include cancer biology and immunology, with expertise in aging, DNA repair, developmental and reproductive biology, bioinformatics, and signal transduction. Labs are staffed by accomplished graduate and medical students, postdoctoral scholars, technical personnel, and physicians. Highlights of the division include:

-Ties between the labs are strengthened by an annual retreat, as well as bimonthly seminars including the Pathology department seminar series and a Pathophysiology of Disease seminar given by pathology residents.
-Wide array of departmental core facilities including molecular histology (Richardson), and flow cytometry (Karandikar).
-A newly formed unit dedicated to the emerging science of translational pathology is under development.

Numerous opportunities exist for collaborations aimed at maximizing the interactions between basic scientists and physicians in the elucidation of mechanisms of disease. We invite you to explore the individual web pages of LMP faculty shown below.
